Commuters who work in the city will generally travel by train and commence their journey via the Loughton Underground Station (Zone 6) which is only a 4-minute walk from the High Road. Using the Central Line then takes just under half an hour to reach central London. Alternatively, drivers have easy access to the M25 and M11 via the North Circular ring road.
For those who like a bit of retail therapy, a walk down our famous High Road is bound to please, as it is home to both a vast array of established national high street brands and local independent boutique shops. Furthermore, this can be combined with a visit to various coffee shops including chains such as Costa, Starbucks and Caffe Nero and Cafe’s like Molens, The Wagon Boulangerie and 8 Rocks Deli & Wine to name a few.
There are also a plenitude of hairdressers, barbers and beauty salons to help beautify the demands of the local residents. At night, Loughton becomes a vibrant, exciting town, providing an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants which all cater to an extensive and diverse selection of tastes and budgets.
Alternatively, an area of natural beauty is also available, as the area is also surrounded to the North and West by the 5,900 acre Epping Forest. This is a Special Area of Conservation involving woodland, rivers and ponds.
